Marquita L. Trotter
Marquita L. Trotter concentrates her practice on municipal and transactional law. Ms. Trotter represents the firm’s public and private clients on a variety of matters, including property tax issues, intergovernmental agreements, and real estate transactions. In addition, Ms. Trotter drafts legislation and policy for local units of government and counsels clients on compliance with Freedom of Information Act requests and the Open Meetings Act. Prior to joining Del Galdo Law Group, Ms. Trotter worked as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Springfield, Illinois where she represented the City in various matters and served as the Freedom of Information Act officer.
Ms. Trotter graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Ms. Trotter earned her Juris Doctor from Notre Dame Law School. While in law school, Ms. Trotter participated in the Consumer Protection Clinic and worked as a research assistant, gathering and organizing data from debt collection case files.
