Acacia Roberts

Acacia Roberts joined Del Galdo Law Group, LLC in 2024. She works in municipal litigation on behalf of various public entities in the Chicago area. Prior to joining Del Galdo Law Group, she worked on Immigration Legal Research and received the 2023 Trandafir Award for Immigration from the Iowa Law School Foundation for her research on the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan and subsequent immigration legal issues facing Afghan evacuees.

Acacia received her Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and French Translation from the University of Iowa. Following this, Acacia received a Fulbright to Morocco, where she taught at the English Department of the University of Mohammed V and l’Ecole des Sciences de l’Information. Acacia went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa College of Law. During law school, Acacia worked on tribal research projects for the Public Policy Department at the University, and for Dean Kevin Washburn as a legal research assistant. She also interned at the Polk County Public Defender and worked in the University of Iowa Immigration Clinic. During her time at Iowa Law, she revived the Native American Law Student Association and served as President and co-President; she received the Native American and Indigenous Studies Prize from the University of Iowa Department of Anthropology and was recognized by the Latino-Native American Cultural Center for contributions to Native student life. Acacia speaks French and Arabic, has a black belt in Taekwondo, and enjoys Latin ballroom dance.
